When we received the house it was in pretty rough shape. Lots of wear and not much repair.

But with over 3,000 volunteer hours, thousands of dollars of donated materials,  and thousands of dollars spent, we are almost finished, ready for the first residents.

Looks like the beds are being made.

Now finished, ready for the first resident.

The inside of the house was packed full of things Jackie had collected over the years. It was surprising the weight of all the stuff did not cause the building to collapse.

Lots of work to do,  because many of the walls needed to be completely removed and re-done, from the studs out. Electrical and plumbing were re-done entirely, plus an alarm system was installed. Dry wall, painting, trim, doors, floors re-done, carpet installed, lighting installed, baseboard heating installed, and a new furnace. Most of all this was donated.
